How the World Map & Weather works
The map uses OpenStreetMap tiles via Leaflet. Selecting a city fetches current conditions from the free Open-Meteo forecast API, including temperature, apparent temperature, wind speed and weather code.
Local time is calculated from the city’s IANA time zone in your browser, so it stays correct across daylight-saving changes.
